Hunyuantaiji Academy demonstrated what we do at this year's Underwear Affair at the Butterdome Saturday, June 20. Our demonstrations began about 6:45 and continued until 9PM. This event occurs to raise money for curing cancers that occur below the waist.

Members of the Academy present were Allan Belsheim, Yasuko Inoue, Jean Wong, Andy Hosler, Clinton Jurke, Scott Hess and special guest Tim Duehring . Due to a change in our arrival time three other volunteers were unable to attend because of previousr commitments, but we appreciate their initial support.

The venue was not the most conducive to show what we can do (it is hard to compete for attention with a crowd wearing underwear), but it was a very positive experience as those presenting demos worked hard. Thanks to everyone! 

Edmontnon Hunyuantaiji Academy with Master Chen Zhonghua and Allan Belsheim is hosting a week long seminar from June 22(Monday) to June 28 (Sunday). Register early to secure a place at this event. We will cover Chen Broadsword, Straight Sword, Push Hands, Foundations and Yilu with time for individual corrections as requested. The cost is only $500 for the entire week. The Edmonton Seminar on November 1 and 2, 2008 was a success. Bill Vanderhall, our special guest from Maple Ridge, BC,  as well as 13 other participants over the 2 days were treated to a very special Seminar by Master Chen Zhonghua. We covered some Foundation work, Broadsword (learned in the equivalent of 1 day), Yilu work and Push Hands. Many aspects of theory regarding Taiji were also discussed. Our lunches were spent in two very interseting restaurents where the teaching and discussion continued. For those in Edmonton or nearby who didn't attend this Seminar it was a missed oportunity to gain real knowledge fom a true Master who provides information for students at all levels. We hope to continue offering these Seminars a few times a year to our students as well as to  interested individuals  who would like a deeper understanding of all aspects of Taiji.
